How To Form/Join a Team

Your step-by-step guide to signing you and your team up online!
Step One: Registration~ Creating Your Team
- Go to the Relay Online website (http://events.cancer.org/rflwinonastate) and select "Start a Team," "Join a Team," or "Join as an Individual" on the left side.
- Set a goal for your team or yourself (we usually encourage $100 per person), click next step
- Choose an option
- If you plan to pay online choose "Team - Paying Registration Online - Team Captains Only" to pay in full or "Team Member - Paying Registration Online"
- If you plan to pay with cash or check choose "Team - Pre- Registered - Team Captains Only" or "Team Member - Pre- Registered"
- After you filled in your information, choose the size T-shirt you need for the Relay For Life.
- Agree to the disclaimer.
- You may register another team mate or just click Òcomplete registrationÓ
- Once each person joins your team online, your team will be officially registered! No more forms to fill out! Please encourage all your team members to log in, even if they do not want to utilize the online fundraising tool.
Step Two: Participant Center
- Click "Participant Center" to access and edit your team and/or personal page.
- Edit Personal Page - Make edits to your personal page including images and text.
- Personal Page - View your personal page with the scrolling honor roll and your latest editing changes.
- Edit Team Page - Make edits to your team page including images and text (team captains only).
- View Team Page - View your team page with your latest editing changes (team captains only).
- Personalize your page by uploading photos.
Step Three: Email
- In your participant center click on "Email" tab and access this comprehensive email tool to spread the word and send emails to friends and family. Send your email campaign to friends and family encouraging them to participate and support your efforts. Use our template letters or customize your own.
- Send Email - Use the email center to compose, preview and send your email to your friends and family. Choose from 6 email templates to send to ask for support, thank someone for donating, follow-up to first email, join my team, survivor email, thanks for joining my team, or choose a blank template to write you own personal email Once you email has been sent, your friends and family will receive an email that includes a direct link to your personal donation page.
- Address Book Import - Import your address book from your Microsoft Outlook, Yahoo!, or other email system.
- Follow ups - Review the success from your past emails and track how your friends and family are reacting.
Step Four: Tools
You can enter cash/checks received using a simple secure donation form to keep up-to-date fundraising data. You can also edit their information, such as name and address to make sure that contact information is always accurate.
- Enter Gifts Received Offline- To help us keep track of all donations please enter cash and/or check donations.
- Change Profile - Make updates and changes to your profile including team affiliation, goals, and change your username.
- Edit Profile - Make updates and changes to your profile including team affiliation and goals.
- Edit Login - Change your username and password information.
- Participant Resources- Access great information on Relay For Life.
Other Important Information:
General Team Donations are awarded to your team goal for donations made to your team page.
If you know someone who is hesitant about donating online, they can click on donation form on the bottom of each personal page and they can send that form to the ACS with their check.
