VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:
As current and future Health Promotion and Education specialists, we are dedicated to promoting all aspects of health -- physical, environmental, social, emotional, mental and spiritual -- in an effort to improve the lives of all individuals locally and globally. Using a holistic nonjudgmental approach to impact our society and create an environment that supports every individual's wellness and opportunity for a quality life.
If your goal is to explore the opportunities in the health field "hands on", than we may be the club for you.
As part of our membership requirements, and to encourage you to explore your chosen field in a larger perspective, members are required to volunteer for three hours each semester.
Local/national organizations are eager for assistance. You are welcome to perform your service with any of these organizations as well, but remember to have the supervisor or club executive representative complete your volunteer service activity form.
Forms may be picked up from the HOPE bulletin board ME 115 outside Dr. Grimm's office. They must be filled in and volunteer hours must be completed before the end of each semester, before your membership requirements will be listed as fulfilled. HOPE issues a certificate to each active member at the end of the Spring Semester..
HOPE members are encouraged to take photographs of their volunteer involvement and submit them for posting on our website and as documentation for senior portfolios.
