Located throughout the site you will find information on current news, information about the club, and our current roster. You will also find a link to National Intercollegiate Recreational Sports Association(NIRSA), which is the host of the club volleyball national tournament each year. This site also is the location that hosts the current national rankings for division 2 mens club teams. You will also find a link to the NIVC website which is our conference site and contains information on tournaments as well as the teams that we compete against.

National Tournament

The 2007 National Tournament will be held in Louisville, Kentucky.

News

Winona State Men's team finished 9th in the nation for Divison II mens club championships this past week in Salt Lake City, UT out of a total of 48 men's teams. The beginning of the tournament had us ranked at 23rd which we found to be slightly high, this gave us motivation to prove the ranks wrong and prove ourselves to everyone. Starting out we went 2-1 losing our only match in pool play to Dominican, this team won the tournament last year and repeated this year in Salt Lake City. We then continued to win our challenge round match to move on to the brackets as the three seed out of three teams to reach the gold championship bracket.

We continued to reach the gold bracket and ended up playing a team from conference Bethel University. In a tough match taken into a third game we were defeated by Bethel, and placed 9th.

On a side note, Nate Beske and Nate Koller recieved honorable mention for the all-tournament team, congratulations guys.
