RUNNING CLUB

  1. Name

  2. The name of this organization shall be Winona State University Running Club.
  3. Purpose

  4. The purpose of the Running Club shall be:
    1. To give students, faculty, and staff the opportunity to compete in running races.
    2. To unite all WSU runners.
  5. Membership

  6. Anyone currently enrolled as a student, faculty or staff member at WSU may join.
  7. Officers

  8. The organization of WSU Running Club shall include the three officers as needed. Officers may be removed from office by a _ vote. Notice must be given at the monthly meetings for proposal to remove. If removal is necessary vacancy will be filled at the next monthly meeting.
    1. Club Director
      1. Shall set up practice times.
      2. Shall decide in which races to participate.
      3. Shall be responsible for the implementation of the above purpose in accordance with Article II.
      4. Shall see that provisions of this constitution are followed.
      5. Shall keep records of cash disbursements.
      6. Shall be responsible and reliable for the records.
    2. Information Specialist
      1. Shall discharge the duties of the Director in his/her absence or in the event that a vacancy occurs in the Director position.
      2. Shall inform members of upcoming events.
    3. Public Relations
      1. Shall maintain club board and showcase
      2. Shall handle communications for club events
      3. Shall attend ASO meetings
  9. Elections
    1. Elections will be held during May for the following year.
    2. Nominations will be made at the May meetings.
    3. Election will be decided by a majority vote.
  10. Meetings
    1. Meetings shall take place during regular practice time.
    2. Races may be attended by any or all of the club members every weekend of every other weekend, depending on the schedule.
    3. Monthly meetings
      1. There must be at least _ of the club present for monthly meetings to take place.
      2. Regular monthly meetings will be held to discuss topics related to practice and races.
      3. The club director will announce the date, time, and place of the monthly meeting.
  11. Finances
    1. Funding will consist of contributions from the student activity fund.
    2. Fund-raising may be contributed by the community.
    3. Members may participate in fund raising activities.
    4. The director will be reponsible for the budget.
    5. The site of the account will be the WSU business office.
    6. Disposition of funds in case of organization dissolution will be returned directly to it's source.
  12. Committees

  13. If committees are necessary they will be only temporary.
  14. Amendments
    1. The Running Club will not discriminate towards any WSU students or faculty members.
    2. Any currently enrolled student or faculty member may participate regardless of race, creed, color, or sexual orientation, ability, or on any other basis.
