Welcome to the
WSU Running Club

Welcome Back!

Hope everyone had a great winter break, and didn't freeze too much if you went out for a run ;-)

MEETING!

There was a meeting! (A meeting, a meeting, yaaay!) We decided we weren't going to run as a group until after Spring Break because...well, running when it's cold just makes people outside the club think you're crazy. So NO UPDATES to the page unless something silly happens before Spring Break like the birds start chirping and such...(which I actually heard today, it was still cold though) Also, we discussed a "Bare as you Dare" run for right after Spring Break, where everyone will literally run as bare as we dare(No indecency, yeesh, you people and your sick minds...) Umm, what else...we had cookies! You people thinking that we were gonna be talking about running while it was still cold missed out on home-made cookies! So next time you know where to go when you want free sweets: Running Club Meetings! (Our motto is: We run because we love to eat!)

Group Runs
We meet in Memorial Hall, by our board near room 138. Anyone interested is encouraged to come along on these runs, from a first-time runner to a sub-4 minute miler(though if you can run this fast, please don't rub it in). Everyone's invited and you don't have to be a member to join us on our runs, so don't be shy. No group runs until AFTER Spring Break!

Look for event entry forms and other announcements on our bulletin board in Memorial Hall, near room 138.

Help Us Grow!
What do you want in a Running Club?

Your ideas, opinions, and advice are important to us. Some of the areas under consideration:

  • Fundraising Ideas
  • Safe Running Workshops
  • Spring Running Event
  • Purpose, goals, mission

The Running Club can be your club, but we need to get your opinion!
