Many people have asked us how we got the name Bad Monaz.  A long time ago (1988) when we were trying to come up with a name for the team, we came across a picture in a book someone had of the Mona Lisa in a leather jacket, sunglasses, and a cigarette hanging out of her mouth.  Across the picture was written "She wouldn't sit, she wouldn't shake, she wouldn't beg, she was a Bad Mona."  The picture was similar to the one above. The "Z" was added to end of Monaz because of the "Z" on Kling-onz (the WSU men's original team name).
